2022 was yet another hugely successful year for the Purley Business Improvement District (BID) supporting the business district and in turn, making Purley a better place for residents, visitors and businesses.
Purley BID generally delivers its projects to 3 core areas of benefit that are approved by the Purley BID Board. These being 1) Access and Safety 2) Business Support 3) #DestinationPurley

- 5 Purley BID Board Meetings with Purley Businesses and partners
- Strong Business WhatsApp group
- InPurley App, loads of new members and offers, great take up
- Business networking at Bombaylicious
- Support for businesses applying for business recovery grants and other
- Offering free membership to Purley Businesses for the Federation of Small Business
- Offering free membership to Purley Businesses to the Chamber of Commerce
- Business of the Month awards to The Pear Tree, O’Farol, Keith Harris Carpets and Kitchens, GENT Barbers, ECIT Accountants, The Barber shop, 4 Locos
- Negotiated 10% off car security installations and 20% off print costs for Purley Businesses
- Hundreds of business engagement manager visits to businesses
- Purley Panel Created
- Purley Collaboration created
- 2-minute Update videos, although never made it under 2 minutes
- Lobbying on Cost of the living campaign with Croydon BID
- Management of accounts

- The ever changing face of Purley saw a few businesses move on, including Lloyds, Bagels and Waffles, Get Fired, Dan Thai and we organised Weatherspoon’s petition.
