Today, we had a great meeting with Croydon Council teams as well as the Safer Neighbourhood team and enforcement officers looking at safety within Purley.
Anti-social behaviour
We’ve found that the biggest and most common issues facing almost all towns across the UK is access and safety. With an increasing population it is almost inevitable that more issues will arise. A key focus for us is to make sure that Purley is a safe place to visit and that there is ease of access for all to enjoy what Purley has to offer.
One of the many topics discussed at this partnership meeting was anti-social behaviour. The meeting was productive and enabled us to put into action steps to combat issues including tackling street drinking as well as ways to manage fly-tipping and cars being dumped in our town.

Working in partnership for Purley
Our discussion was hugely beneficial as we discussed many more issues such as replacement of broken trees, managing pest control, potential new bins to help combat littering and much more.
A lot of what Purley BID does to support our businesses goes on behind the scenes. Working in partnership with other associations is really important to help deliver so many projects to support our Purley businesses and to make the town a great place for residents to live, visitors and attracting new businesses to the area.
