Official Launch of Purley Market Purley BID is delighted to welcome the Mayor of Croydon, Cllr Sherwan Chowdhury, to officially open Purley Market on Saturday 18th September 2021 at 12pm. Purley BID held a litter pick on Saturday 12th June to coincide with the Keep Britain Tidy national campaign (from 28th May to 13th June 2021). It was great to see the community come together to help make Purley cleaner and greener. Across the country, over 200,000 people took part in the litter pick initiative
After having to be postponed and then with numbers being restricted due to the COVID-19 Step rules regarding only meeting in groups of 6, the Purley BID Litter Pick still produced amazing results. From 19th April 2021, families in Purley will be able to track down the ‘Secret Carnival’ and its wily characters via smartphones thanks to Purley Business Improvement District (BID). As high streets open once more this April, Purley BID is aware that families are looking for fun activities that are safe, socially distanced and contactless.
