Purley BID was established in 2015 with a vision to make Purley better for business.

Five years of investment in the town has supported our business community through promotion, events and services helping to make the town attractive and to raise the town’s profile locally as well as nationally through lobbying. As a result Purley BID has established itself as an influencer, recognised at local, regional and central government level.

Championing our local businesses all the way, a BID enables the delivery of projects and services above and beyond the provision by the local authority. Read our blog on the history of Purley BID for more detail about BIDs and our strong business voice.

Every business in the Purley BID area that has a rateable value of £8000 or above contributes a small percentage of the business rates towards improving Purley Town Centre in order to make Purley a great place to work, shop and above all, to do business.

A ballot for the next 5-year term is underway. A vote to keep Purley BID would mean that Purley has a real chance to shine and move forward as a community with support and backing from the Business Improvement District.

We’ve laid out our plans in our brochure and videos. Our themes for the next term include:
