On 12th December, at Croydon Town Hall, the results of the Purley BID renewal ballot were officially announced by Deputy Ballot Holder Carol Squires, with the count verified by Peter Stanley of Electoral Services. In attendance were Seth Alker, Head of Electoral Services, Marlon Johnson, Chairman of Purley BID, Simon Cripps, CEO, and Catherine Garrad, Engagement Manager.
We are delighted to share that Purley BID has been renewed for another five-year term with an overwhelming vote of confidence:
- 70% in favour by number of votes
- 90% in favour by rateable value
This strong endorsement reflects the trust and commitment of our local business community to continue investing in Purley’s future.

"We are thrilled with the trust that businesses have placed in us. This result means we can continue supporting our members and delivering projects that make Purley a better place to do business. Over the next five years, we’ll build on our successes and work even harder to champion our local businesses."
— Simon Cripps, CEO, Purley BID
