Purley BID is delighted to welcome the Croydon Drop-In Talkbus to Purley every month.

Croydon Drop-In (CDI) is a charitable organisation that exists to support young people aged 11 to 25 years old and families who live, work or study in the London Borough of Croydon.

The Outreach Team at CDI are able to deliver health education, information and advice sessions supporting young people and parents in obtaining up to date information that is essential to their everyday decision making processes.

CDI recognise that the transitional period from childhood to adulthood is a particularly challenging time and aims to provide information and support to enable young people to have a space to talk through their issues and find ways of resolving them by accessing free and confidential advice.  They believe they can meet specific needs by providing:

  • Information – the knowledge and skill that will enable people to make informed choices about their lives.
  • Empowerment – the ability to understand, seek out and access appropriate services.
  • Support and Advice – In a friendly, non-threatening environment.

The Talkbus is a mobile information centre which travels around the Borough visiting high streets, neighbourhoods, schools, colleges, community groups, youth centres and community events, offering young people the chance to get information or to discuss topics of interest.

Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for details of visits.
