Purley Festival Announces New Management and Exciting Growth Plans

The Purley Business Improvement District (BID) is thrilled to announce that the management and running of the Purley Festival will be handed over to Deepak Oruganti and Vamsi Galla from the renowned event company YorkTribe. This strategic move aims to grow the festival and diversify its entertainment and attractions, ensuring an even more vibrant and inclusive event for the community.

Since its relaunch in 2023, the Purley Festival has been going from strength to strength. Now, with the expertise of Yorktribe, known for their excellent track record in organising multicultural events, the festival is set to reach new heights. The Purley BID team will continue to focus on supporting the growth of businesses within the town, while Yorktribe takes the festival to the next level.

Simon Cripps, CEO of Purley BID, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Deepak Oruganti and Vamsi Galla from YorkTribe to the Purley Festival team. Deepak Oruganti, the new Purley Festival organiser, shared his thoughts on the upcoming collaboration: “YorkTribe is honoured to take on the management of the Purley Festival. We are committed to enhancing the festival experience by introducing a variety of new attractions and entertainment options. Our goal is to create an event that celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of Purley and provides something for everyone to enjoy.”

The Purley Festival will take place over the weekend of 6-7 September 2025, promising to be bigger and better than ever before. The community is invited to join in the celebrations and experience the exciting new changes first-hand.
