Purley BID was delighted to welcome so many different groups and individuals to the launch of Purley in Bloom on Saturday 19th June.
After a brief welcome and introduction by Simon Cripps, CEO of Purley BID, Peter Holman the Co-Chair of London in Bloom explained what the competition is all about and how it is the journey along the way that is as important as the end results.
A good start was made on various areas in Purley Cross and the volunteers were very interested in the Purley in Bloom project and the difference it will make to the town. This is a 5-year vision and Purley BID hopes to bring the whole community together to help make Purley cleaner and greener.
