Great ideas for Purley

Great ideas for Purley Fireworks night was the British BIDS Annual conference 2015. What a great event it was as well. Really nice meeting other similar BIDs from around the country and understanding issues and the great ideas that they have. 

Met up with Bromley BID whose Ballot closed on the 5th November as well? Also met with Successful Sutton, Orpington First, Croydon BID as well many other from round the UK and even the US and New Zealand. Loads of great ideas on delivering cost effective benefits to Purley. 

Katie Coombes from MayNineteen was truly inspirational with her approach to event Management, loads of ideas that should be taken into account before, during and after running an event. Discover, Design and Deliver, really useful info. 

Andy Izzard Community Clean came up with great solutions in keeping the town smart and clean. From grot spot cleaning, I can think of a couple of places that could do with that in Purley, to painting old buildings and putting on printed wraps with graffiti proof protection. This would be great for several areas of Purley. 

Chatting with the BIDs also gave examples of loyalty card schemes that have been working for them, looked at Swipii and this looks superb so will have to have more research here. Also how Orpington have delivered a really cost effective secret shopper scheme that also help mother to get back into work. 

Then onto the night and being on the 32nd floor in Canary Wharf on fireworks night the views did not disappoint, what a great display, lovely food and a glass or two of wine, all in all a great night.
