About Dan Thai

Dan Thai has been at 17 Purley Road, Purley, CR8 2HA  since February 2002, offering authentic Thai cuisine to the Purley community. This family run business in the heart of Purley is also (when restrictions are lifted) able to provide event and outside catering, on request.

Owner, Pamela, said: “We are thankful and most grateful for the help and support we have received from Purley BID, particularly during the pandemic. COVID-19 has impacted every business and all walks of life but it is so pleasing to see the Purley businesses supporting and lifting each other’s spirits. There is a light at the end of the tunnel with the announcement of the gradual lifting of lockdown. We look forward to the new normal when we can open our doors to our wonderful customers without restriction”.

Dan Thai has the health of its customers at heart. By stir-frying most dishes quickly, using a minimum amount of oil, the food retains all the nutrition and flavour without adding unnecessary additional calories.

The finest and freshest ingredients are sourced and Dan Thai do not add monosodium glutamate. Dan Thai is also food allergy and food intolerance aware. On request, adjustments can be made on how mild or hot a dish is, regardless of the menu description. Dan Thai is usually open from 12pm-3pm / 6pm-11pm Tuesday-Friday, 6pm-11pm Saturday and Sunday and closed on Mondays. 

Due to COVID-19 opening times have changed to 5pm-10pm Wednesday & Thursday, 12pm-3pm / 5pm-10pm Friday and 5pm-10pm Saturday & Sunday.
